Small in size, 2.0 square miles, Hazel Park bears the motto
“The Friendly City”
Hazel Park is home to the Hazel Park Raceway, Michigan’s
largest horse racing facility. In the past five years, Hazel
Park has enjoyed a renaissance, with every major road resurfaced,
the construction of the Viking Ice Arena, and a renewed effort
to attract commercial and industrial re-development projects
to the City. These improvements have resulted in rising property
values and an increased demand for quality housing in Hazel
Park.
