We will take:
- computer monitors
- CPUs
- printers
- television sets
- radios
- telephones
- cell phones
- copy machines
- fax machines
- stereos
- VCRs
- CD players
Residents will not be charged for this service (funding
comes from tip fees for solid waste disposal).
Maximum of 80 pounds per appointment. Maximum of two appointments
per year.
No wooden cabinets.
Items from homes only. NO BUSINESS MATERIAL BECAUSE OF
FEDERAL WASTE LAWS.
The service is available only to residents in SOCRRA's 12-member
consortium (Berkley, Beverly Hills, Birmingham, Clawson, Ferndale,
Hazel Park, Huntington Woods, Lathrup Village, Oak Park, Pleasant
Ridge, Royal Oak and Troy).
A driver's license will be required to verify residency!
Electronic items are recycled by Great Lakes Electronics Recycling
in Detroit (313/838-7000).
Information on where businesses can get their computers recycled
can be obtained from the Electronics Industries Alliance at
