Corrugated
Cardboard
- Fold, flatten or cut into bundles no larger than
2'x2'x3', tie securely and place next to or under
your bin.
- Discard packing material and badly stained items.
Remove all food, cellophane and liners. NO milk cartons,
drink boxes or books.
- Bring cardboard to the drop-off center "as
is" (no need to cut, flatten or bundle).

and Brown Paper Grocery Bags
- Flatten shoe boxes, cereal boxes, tissue boxes,
etc. and stuff tightly in biggest paperboard box.
- OK to mix with kraft paper bags.
- Sorry, we can't recycle plastic bags.

Catalogues, Newspapers, Glossy Advertisements &
All Inserts
- Mix your magazines and catalogues with newspapers,
glossy advertisements and all inserts. Tie them
with string or place in a brown paper bag (NO plastic
bags). NO JUNK MAIL.

- Place loose in the recycling bin.

Batteries
- Place in a clear plastic bag inside bin.
- NO automotive batteries inside bin. (Take to drop-off
center).
- These are properly disposed in a hazardous waste
landfill.

Jugs & Bottles
- ONLY narrow-neck bottles marked 1 or 2 on bottom.
- NO tubs, trays or buckets.
- NO caps.
- Rinse out.

Glass
Bottles & Jars
- CLEAR AND BROWN glass only.
- NO ceramics, mirrors, coffee cups, plates or window
glass.
- Rinse out.
- Lids can be put back on glass bottles.
- Sorry, we no longer have an outlet for green or
blue bottles.

Metal
- Cans, pie tins, metal lids, aluminum trays, metal
clothes hangers, pots & pans, toasters, faucets,
silverware, pipe and other small metal items.
- If it fits in the bin, put it in!
- Place loose metal lids inside cans and bend so that
lids don't fall out.

- Must be empty.
- Recycle metal lids. NO plastic lids.
- Do not puncture aerosols or remove ends.
