On Thursday August 21, 2014, With the help from Oakland County Road Commission, Bedrock Express, S&A Concrete, and the Hazel Park Fire Department, the Department of Public Works has collected over an estimated 90 tons of trash from the curbs.
Friday August 22, 2014, We have every crew back on the streets again today. We also now have a crew from Tringali Sanitation!!! Crews from Canton Hauling and Carr Trucking!!
We will be continuing collection over the next few days until it is completed.
In order to help get this resolved sooner for the residents. We ask that all vehicles be removed from the streets until collection is completed. Also, for the safety of residents and the crews we ask that residents driving within the City be very alert and patient when driving in the areas that crews are working.
Street Sweeping and normal routine maintenance will be suspended until collection is completed.
At this time we are anticipating pick- up for Monday August 25, 2014 will resume on schedule under the normal collection guidelines. Please note: No construction materials will be picked up after resuming the normal schedule. Please see for complete list.
