The mission of the commission is to promote historical education
about the
people and places of the city of Hazel Park, Michigan. Within
these pages
you will find links to scans and transcriptions from the files
of the Hazel
Park Historical Commission, as well as pictures from the Hazel
Park
Palladium and News newspapers (1939-1967). Also included are
selected works
from Laurie Wilson, a local photographer that documented goings-on
in HP for
many years. We are in the process of digitizing our collection,
and working
to preserve the archives that we have.
If you like what you see, please consider a donation to the
Commission! Any
donations will be used toward further preservation.
To the right you will find links to the files we have scanned
and
transcribed so far. We hope you will find them interesting.
We are in need
of any sources of history that portray the city of Hazel Park.
If you have
any items that you would like to share, please contact the City
Manager's
office, or Annette at Planning.
