Assessing Clerk - Karena Kozel The City of Hazel Park, under the direction of Oakland County Equalization, has undertaken a reappraisal of all property in the city during the past four (4) years. This effort has been necessary to update the records of the Assessing Department. Appraisers have visited every property for an exterior review, however, if you have not had a site visit for an interior review appointment, arrangements can be made by contacting the Assessor's Office at (248) 546-4070 or email the Assessing Department. Property Transfer Affidavits The filling of a Property Transfer Affidavit (PTA) is required whenever Real Estate is transferred, even if you are not recording a deed. It must be filed by the new owner (buyer) with the Assessor within 45 days of transfer. If you have recently been involved in a property transfer and have not filed this affidavit, contact the City Assessor's Office at (248) 546-4070.
