REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL: Advanced Lighting Demonstration Grant Bid # 1925

Additional Information - RFP Clarification

The City of Hazel Park is seeking sealed bid proposals from qualified vendors for the manufacture of 74 replacement LED

decorative acorn post-top luminaires. The Southeast Michigan Regional Energy Office (SEMREO) is advising the City

regarding this Request for Proposal (RFP), but final decisions regarding awards will be made by the City of Hazel Park,

not SEMREO.

Bid Specifications can be picked up at the City Clerk’s Office, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

beginning January 9th, 2012 through January 26th, 2012.

Sealed bid proposals will be received until 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012. Proposals will be opened and read at

12:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2012, in the Quiet Room at the Hazel Park Memorial Library, 123 E. Nine Mile, Hazel Park,

Michigan, 48030.

Proposals shall be addressed as follows:

All proposals must be signed by a legally authorized agent of the bidding firm. Envelopes must bear the name of the

proposer and be plainly marked as follows:

The City and SEMREO will review the submissions. The City shall determine which vendor is best qualified and most suitable

to meet the needs of the City to complete the work. The City reserves the right to forego consideration of any submission

determined to be unresponsive and/or deficient in any of the information requested. The City reserves the right to contact

references to verify material submitted. The City reserves the right to accept any submission, to reject any or all

submissions, to waive irregularities and/or informalities in any submission to select qualified vendors in any manner the

City believes to be in its best interest.

Please note that funding for this project is provided from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG)

Program, and as such is subject to full compliance with the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) of 2009.

Products purchased with ARRA funds must comply with the Buy American Provision and the Davis-Bacon Act. The City of Hazel
