Voter Registration
Anyone who is 18 years of age may register to vote at the City Clerk’s office. They may also register at any Secretary of State office. In order to vote, you must register 30 days prior to an election.

The Michigan Secretary of State Voter Information Center is an online source for one-stop election information. Michigan residents can access information on their voter registration status, find the location and get directions to their polling place, and preview their ballot. Further, visitors can access online information on statewide candidates, ballot proposals and tutorials on the voting equipment used in their community. The Qualified Voter File, a nationally recognized statewide voter registration system developed by the Michigan Department of State, provides data for the site.
