The Madison Heights/Hazel Park Chamber of Commerce turns 31
in 1999, and its commitment to serving the area's business,
industrial and residential community remains as strong as it
was in 1968.
Benefits of chamber membership include leadership training,
partnerships with local schools districts and seminars on topics
ranging from proposed legislation to taxation. The chamber also
hosts a number of social and networking events, such as luncheons
with speakers, and Business After Hours and Breakfast and Business
Cards gatherings. Annual events include a fall auction and the
Don Chinn invitational golf outing.
The Madison Heights/Hazel Park Chamber of Commerce is a member
of a consortium of 22 area chambers, and it is a member of the
Southeast Michigan Alliance, which is made up of 42 area chambers,
including the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce. Advantages
of membership in the larger groups include an enhanced level
of legislative advocacy, a sharing of products, and the ability
to attend events at other chambers at member rates.
