Hazel Park Assistant City Manager, Sharon Pinch has worked for the City for 24 years, including service in the Police, Water, Recreation and Building departments.  Ms. Pinch worked her way up through the ranks to eventually serve as Assistant City Manager, City Clerk, and Treasurer, as well as serving as Acting City Manager in the absence of the City Manager. Although Ms. Pinch retired from Hazel Park in October of 2011, she has returned to serve as Assistant City Manager on a part-time basis to oversee the following departments: Building, Code Enforcement and the Treasurer's office.   

In December of 2000, Ms. Pinch completed studies in Municipal Administration to earn the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks in cooperation with Michigan State University. Ms. Pinch also received the Certified Public Manager designation from Saginaw Valley State University in 2009. She is the only person in Michigan to hold both the Master Municipal Clerk and the Certified Public Manager designations. In 2011, Sharon Pinch was elected President of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Managers.
